Fiona Coyle - Head of Operational Delivery – Accountant in Bankruptcy, Scotland

Fiona Coyle joined Accountant in Bankruptcy (AiB) in 2005 and is now Head of Operational Delivery, leading the services that help people across Scotland deal with debt and access a fresh start. Since joining AiB, she has worked across a range of operational roles, progressing through the organisation to her current position.

Fiona began her Civil Service career in 1990 with the Department for Work and Pensions and has spent more than 36 years in public service. Throughout her career, she has been passionate about supporting people through financial difficulties and improving the services available to them. She has also championed skills-based recruitment and Modern Apprenticeship opportunities, helping to widen access to careers in the Scottish Government. This commitment contributed to AiB receiving the Future Stars Champion award at the Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards in 2022.

Alongside her career, Fiona raised three children, giving her a strong appreciation of the importance of wellbeing, flexible working and supportive workplace cultures. Outside work, Fiona enjoys life drawing.
