Merey Tokbergenova - Expert of the Department of Work with Insolvent Debtors, Kazakhstan & IAIR 2026 Conference Scholarship

Merey has worked in the field of insolvency and bankruptcy regulation since November 2025 as an Expert with the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Her work focuses on the practical implementation of legislation on the restoration of solvency and bankruptcy, as well as the digital transformation of insolvency procedures. She contributes to the maintenance and development of integrated information systems, inter-agency information exchange, and the implementation of analytical and automated decision-support tools aimed at enhancing the efficiency and quality of regulatory oversight.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. She was born in Taraz, Kazakhstan, and currently resides in Astana.
