Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India

IBBI is incorporated as a Statutory Body under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 (Code) i.e. the country’s legislation for insolvency and bankruptcy regime. It has regulatory oversight over Insolvency Professionals, Insolvency Professional Agencies, Information Utilities, Registered Valuers, and Registered Valuer Organisations.  It writes and enforces rules for transactions, namely, Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process, Corporate Liquidation, Individual Insolvency, and Individual Bankruptcy under the Code.
