Membership
Independence and Confidentiality
IAIR recognises the need for members to maintain
the integrity and authority of their own legislative
frameworks. It therefore does not look to bind members
to, for example, international conventions or to
common policies and practices.
Members recognise any confidentiality which may
be attached to any information provided by IAIR and
other members. Observers are expected to recognise any confidentiality attaching to information which they
receive.
Observer
Status
Observer
status may be offered to a government department/ministry,
agency or public authority that has yet to apply
for membership of the Association. Observers are
invited to attend and participate in an IAIR Meeting
and Conference and to receive papers on the same
confidentiality basis as members. Observers are
required to pay the attendance fee
for the
meeting
and conference
and are not entitled to vote. If you wish to apply
for IAIR membership and observer status at an upcoming
meeting/conference, please contact the Secretariat.
